The Mix

Thank you to all who helped make The Mix Overboard a victory!

The Mix Overboard took place on Saturday, March 23 from 7:30pm to 1am at the Historic Commodore Perry Building in Downtown Toledo.
The Arts Commission's signature spring fundraiser, The Mix celebrated Toledo's cultural legacy and creative community with an unrivaled silent art auction featuring more than 30 stunnign works of art, gourmet food from many of the area's finest restaurants, including Mancy Brothers' Catering, Registry Bistro, The Beirut, La Scola Italian Grill, Burger Bar 419 and more, and great live entertainment from the likes of Kentucky Chrome, The DewDroppers, Clifford Murphy and Mike Whitty, Quick Trio, DJs Mattimoe and Sample, the FreakJazz Ensemble, The Blowing Grains, JW Carlson, and many others. Celebrating with a theme of Toledo's nautical heritage and the 200 year anniversary of Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry's legendary victory over the British in the War of 1812 (won in 1813), The Mix Overboard lived up, once again, to its tradition as Toledo's "party of the year" and a successful fundraiser for The Arts Commission.

With much gratitude, we thank the many volunteers who worked so hard to make this event a success. We would also like thank our many sponsors and donors, without which, this event would not be possible. We also thank The Arts Commission board, staff, and the wonderful people of Toledo for their continued support.

The Mix has been called "Toledo’s best party."  Every March a team of committed volunteers takes on The Mix theme, and imagines a new way to convey excitement, fun, creativity and entertainment to our community.  The event typically involves multiple bands and entertainers, interactive activities, catering to reflect the event theme, a silent auction of art work by local artists, all happening in locations specifically chosen to draw attention to Toledo’s underutilized spaces, and the artists who have chosen to build their careers in Downtown Toledo.

Come see why The Mix has been called a 'can't miss' event. It's unrivaled atmosphere, food, music, and other visual and aural delights will leave you wanting more. The Mix is a great place to learn about The Arts Commission and its programs and services, to meet our Board and Staff members, to build your personal network, meet new friends, adventure into new spaces, dance, purchase great local artwork, hear great local music, and indulge in fine local cuisine.
