Art Music and Cultural Festivals

African American Festival

This is a weekend long family event that starts with a Prayer Breakfast, where local pastors and members of the community come together for prayer and fellowship. The official kickoff to the festival is a parade which receives great participation from various individuals, groups, organizations and businesses throughout the city. The festival offers two days of entertainment including national recording artists, local talent, vendors, rides and activities for the kids, along with health information and screenings. It is truly a family affair. 2013 dates: July 13-14, Sat: 10am-10pm Sun: noon-7pm. $6





Birmingham Ethnic Festival

The Annual Birmingham Ethnic Festival, a celebration of the community’s ethnic heritage, will be held  in 2013 on Saturday, August 17 (12PM to 10PM)  and Sunday, August 18 (12PM to 8:00 PM) on Consaul Street in East Toledo’s Birmingham neighborhood. This family event features Hungarian and ethnic foods, arts and crafts exhibits, cultural displays, and a wide varity of music, dance and continuous entertainment. Free and open to the public

Black Swamp Arts Festival

September 6, 7, & 8, 2013 - The Black Swamp Arts Festival (BSAF) connects art and the community by presenting an annual arts festival and by promoting the arts in the Bowling Green community [Festival Hours]

Crosby Festival of the Arts

Northwest Ohio’s premier fine arts festival takes place every June at TBG and features the work of more than 200 artists from across the country. Saturday, June 29, 10 am – 7 pm; Sunday, June 30 10 am -  4 pm; Preview party, Friday,  June 28 6 – 10 pm

Festival of India: Bollywood Spices

Bollywood Spices has been derived from two aspects which India is famous for. Indian Movie Industry and Spicy Food. We are dedicating this year's festival to these two aspects of India. India's movie industry is considered largest in the world. We make movies in the most number of languages than any other country in the world. Bollywood dancing and music has become very popular. The largest number of collaboration between Indian Movie Industry and Hollywood happened in 2011 and 2012. The other aspect Spices is about the food of India. Indian food is very popular and is slightly on the spicier side. Therefore we want everyone in Toledo come experience India showcasing two of our finest elements Bollywood and Food. 

German American Festival

Celebrating nearly 50 years, the GAF features authentic German food, beer, and entertainment. 2013 dates: August 23-25, F: 6pm-1am; Sat: 2pm-1am Sun: noon-7pm

Great Maumee River Dragon Boat Festival

Fun, fitness, teamwork, and team-building.  Ideal for corporate, business, church, civic, and school groups. Morning races pit competing businesses against one another for special trophies. Each team participates in three races during this unique one-day event.  The course begins across from the Owens Corning World Headquarters building in front of the Docks restaurants and races to the finish line near the lagoon at International Park. 2013 date: July 20

Greek Festival

OPA!  Join Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral as we celebrate our 43rd Annual Greek-American Festival Sept. 6-8. The Greek-American Festival is the perfect place to spend time with the family or enjoy a night in downtown Toledo. Come celebrate with delicious Greek food and pastries  and watch and participate in authentic Greek dancing! Take a tour in the beautiful Byzantine Cathedral and browse through our indoor boutique.

Harrison Rally Day

The annual Rally for the Arts at Harrison Rally Day is held in historic downtown Perrysburg. Harrison Rally Day is a community arts festival with an annual attendance of over 10,000 people. Co-sponsored the Perrysburg Chamber of Commerce and the Perrysburg Area Arts Council, this event offers a large selection of fine arts and crafts, parade, live musical entertainment, children’s art activities, and “Taste of Perrysburg” food vendors.

Lagrange Street Polish Festival

Toledo’s Polish Village invites you to its annual celebration of our Polish heritage when once a year Lagrange Street is transformed into a truly ethnic Polish Village. 2013 dates: July 12-14

Lucas County Fair

For 155 years, the Lucas County Fair has entertained the Greater Toledo community with food, fun, entertainment, rides, livestock and much more. 2013 dates are July 9-14

Maple and Main Art Fair

Come celebrate the region's newest Art Fair! Maple and Main will bring art and music to the streets of Sylvania. June 1-2, 2013

Maumee Summer Fair

Held during the second weekend of August, on the lovely tree-lined streets in historic uptown Maumee, Ohio this event is sponsored by the Maumee Uptown Business Association

Monroe County Fair

"Michigan's Finest Fair!"  This award-winning fair in Monroe County, MI features a wonderful parade through Downtown Monroe, a midway filled with rides and games, food, fun, livestock, special live musical guests, a rodeo, and a smash-up derby.  2013 dates: July 29 - August 3

Ohio's South of the Border Festival

Ohio’s South of the Border Festival is the Festival with a Focus held annually the second weekend in August.  Features are local and nationally known musicians, dancers, food vendors, beverages, games for kids and adults, merchant vendors, and much more.  100% of proceeds goes to the operating and free programming at the Perrysburg Heights Community Center!  Our mission is to raise awareness of the programing that PHCA does for the community and raise money for operating our center! 2013 dates: August 9-10



Old West End Festival

Welcome to the 42nd annual Historic Old West End Festival in Toledo, Ohio. We are pleased to open up our neighborhood the first week in June each year and share it with the world. The Historic District is comprised of over 25 city blocks squared and hosts some of the finest architecture of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Victorian, Edwardian, Queen Anne, Romanesque, Arts and Crafts, Neoclassical, and Colonial Revival homes fill our tree-lined streets. 2013 dates: June 1-2


River Raisin Jazz Festival

August 8 - 11, 2013. The Award Winning River Raisin Jazz Festival is one of the Great Lakes Region's largest & best FREE Jazz festivals. With more than 50,00 visitors in attendance each year from around the state and across the nation...we have become a part of tens of thousands of families summer plans for a decade!

SoundTrek - Live Music Festival

SoundTrek is The Arts Commission's latest addition to the Live Work Create Toledo initiative. The program is designed to celebrate Toledo's rich legacy as a live music town. Featuring a wide variety of local musicians and DJs, as well as premier Downtown live music and dance venues, SoundTrek offers visitors the opportunity to experience a cross-section of the live entertainment available in Toledo in a single evening. For the price of one wristband, guests get access to multiple live music venues, 30-plus musicians and bands, and shuttle rides between stops. July 19, 2013, 8:30pm-1am

South Asian Festival

Celebrating the Cultures of Bangladesh; Bhutan; the Maldives Islands; India; Nepal; Pakistan; and Sri Lanka. Sunday, May 19th, noon til dark. $5/car

Toledo PRIDE

The Pride of Toledo Foundation was established in 2011 as a registered 501(c)(4) non-profit as the primary host of Toledo Pride- an annual area celebration of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and allied (LGBTQA) community. Last year, the Pride of Toledo Foundation along with many other area sponsors welcomed over 10,000 pride participants who took part in Toledo Pride 2012.

Whitehouse Cherry Festival

This fun filled family event features over 15 large amusement rides, great tasting Chicken BBQ, Fresh Cherry Pie, 5K race, Car Show, Parade, a Beer & Wine Garden with a grand finale on Saturday night with fireworks. 2013 Cherry Fest Dates: Thursday, June 13-Saturday, June 15. Hours are: TR: 5pm-11pm F:noon-11:30 Sat: 10am-11pm   

Wood County Fair

In 2013, the Wood County Agricultural Society is proud to announce the 140th annual Wood County Fair. This historic event is scheduled to take place from July 29th – August 5th 2013 in Bowling Green, Ohio. M-TR&Sun: 8am-11pm F&Sat: 8am-midnight  $6
