Toledo Botanical Gardens

A fixture in the Toledo community since the mid-1960s, the Toledo Botanical Garden is not only a center for horticulture and the arts, but it is also the only botanical garden in the region. With the exception of a few special events, admission is free, and estimates are that more than 120,000 people visit the TBG annually. In addition, the Garden is home to nineteen independent art and horticulture groups that focus on a variety of interest related to gardening, the arts, and nature. Also, the TBG has an outreach program called Toledo GROWs (Gardens Revitalize Our World), which strives to educate people of all ages and ethnicities about how to grow fresh fruits, flowers, and vegetables in order to improve their neighborhoods and build stronger communities.
