This year the Momentum Festival will activate currently vacant spaces on N. Superior St. between Madison and Adams. These spaces will be used to exhibit art by Toledo creatives in a non-juried, multimedia arts showcase for which any local artist is eligible. Artists of any medium are encouraged to apply. This includes but is not limited to dance, music, theater, film, literature, design, and visual arts.

The Arts Commission is inviting artists to apply for an exhibition space during the 2024 Momentum Festival, showcasing their work on September 20 - 22. This program of the Momentum Festival adds local arts experience that brings the creative community together to revitalize space and show off the diversity of art, artists, performance, music, culture, and people that make Toledo such an inspiring and vibrant place. The block of N. Superior between Madison and Adams will be transformed with visual art displays, installations, film and video features, live poetry and performances. This non-juried exhibition will allow any Toledo creative to show off what they do.

Groups and teams are encouraged to apply and additional space may be granted. Non-visual artists must bring their own equipment but please check the image list for which spaces have outlets.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Exhibiting artists must participate in no less than 4 volunteer hours during the festival that may include set-up, tear-down, safely monitoring, or other duties as assigned.
