Volunteer Spotlight

We are celebrating Travon Watson as our most recent volunteer highlight! Travon, a Toledo native who attended Rogers High School, is an entrepreneur, artist, and Local 8 journeyman electrician. Along with his family, Travon runs a business specializing in children’s books (Toytime) and designer goods (Mystique Body Glamour). Travon has written his  first two book series for children - “The Story of Super Mom” and “Getting Ready for Bed” - which are available on Amazon. Travon enjoys pushing the boundaries of his artistic work by using his electrical skills and exploring new mediums.

“I’ve always loved the feeling of making a difference in my community and volunteering with The Arts Commission has given me that opportunity,” Travon said of his volunteer experience.

Thank you, Travon, for giving generously of your time so that others can enjoy arts and culture in Toledo!
