This Artomatic 419 panel brings together filmmakers behind The Wetlanders, METHOD, and The Moonshine Crew, for a conversation about what it takes to produce independent films in Toledo. Panelists Logan Brown and Cora Vander Broek (METHOD), Toledo native Anthony Wright (The Moonshine Crew), and Alex Goetz and Matthew Deimling Johns (The Wetlanders) will share insights from their productions, discuss the opportunities and challenges of local filmmaking, preview clips or behind-the-scenes images from their work, and open the floor for questions from attendees.

Conversations Around Creative Community Spaces

Panelists: Tayler Meinen (Stu’s House), Jerry Gray (Odelot) and Chris Rodriguez (Mind and Soul Gallery)

This panel aims to shed light on the joys and challenges in balancing a personal practice, collaboration between studio members and the facilitation of public programming. We will touch on each panelist's journey from original intentions to expectations, reality, reflections and adjustments over time.

About Artomatic 419

Based on popular demand and years of requests by local artists, The Arts Commission is excited to once again present Artomatic 419!

This multi-day event, scheduled for September 18-20, will provide access to indoor exhibition space in vacant or underutilized Downtown buildings to more than 100 visual artists and offer main stage and small stage performance areas for literary, film, and other artists. This year Artomatic 419 will be held in Erie Street Market. Artomatic 419 is a non-juried, multidisciplinary local art exhibition for any creative to showcase their work.

The Artomatic 419 model brings together artists to co-create and execute this unique festival experience. Numerous Toledo artists credit Artomatic with getting their artistic careers off the ground.
