Art Loop in the Park
Saturday, June 15 | 12-4 pm
Glass City Metropark | 1505 Front Street
The Arts Commission partners with Metroparks Toledo for a first-ever Art Loop in the Park! This free community event celebrates art, natural spaces and the Glass City. Enjoy art activities and demonstrations, craft stations, music, roller skating, a scavenger hunt, bike tune-up station and more. Marks the one-year anniversary of Glass City Metropark and the brand new installation of the public work of art, Field of Histories.

Art Loop: Young Artists
Saturday, July 27 | 12-4 pm
Adams Street between 14th & 18th Streets
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of our Young Artists at Work (YAAW) program, The Arts Commission is partnering with Toledo School for the Arts for a young and arty summer party! The free community event highlights activities featuring and/or for young creatives: The annual YAAW art exhibition and student art sale, craft stations, youth performances, music and dance, art demos, thrift and vintage merchants, a Handmade Toledo mini maker’s mart, food trucks and more. 

Art Loop: Dancin’ in the Streets

Superior Street at Madison Avenue
Toledo’s dance community takes to the streets again this year! In conjunction with Momentum Festival’s full line-up of art and culture activities, Dancin’ in the Streets helps to “kick off” The Arts Commission’s 65th anniversary celebration with an afternoon line-up of live contemporary, ethnic, traditional and interactive dance performances. 

Art Loop: Poetry Slam
Friday, November 8 | 6-9 pm
Collingwood Arts Center | 2413 Collingwood Blvd.
This first-of-its-kind event in Toledo – held in the historic Collingwood Arts Center (CAC) – spotlights talented local and regional poets and spoken word artists. The evening features a poetry slam competition, live music, ekphrastic writing activities, and a selection of CAC artists’ tables. Free and open to the public, with snacks and drinks available for purchase.
