Artist Toolkit Workshop Series

at the Toledo Museum of Art

We're partnering with the Toledo Museum of Art on three workshops about Framing 2D Artwork, Techniques for Hanging and Presenting Art, and Handling and Packing Artwork with Care.

Join us for these workshops to learn about framing, how to confidently display your artwork with tips on layout, design, and proper hanging techniques, and the best practices for safely handling and packing your artwork.

  • Framing 2D Artwork Workshop — August 29th - RSVP

    • Learn the fundamentals of framing 2D artwork with local artist Khrystyne Dewey. This session will explore material selection, preparatory steps before creating art, mounting techniques, appropriate matting styles, and guidelines for selecting suitable framing options.

  • Handling and Packing Artwork with Care Workshop — September 5 - RSVP

    • Learn best practices for safely handling and packing your artwork. This hands-on session is designed for artists and will cover materials, techniques, and tips to protect your work while handling it and during transport and storage.

  • Techniques for Hanging and Presenting Art Workshop — September 12 - RSVP

    • Learn how to confidently display your artwork with tips on layout, design, and proper hanging techniques. This session will cover how to plan your wall, space your work, and choose the right hardware for a polished, professional presentation.

You can park for free in the art museum's main parking lot. There is additional free parking in the church parking lot across from the museum's main lot.
